meet Trillian

Little Black Puppy
Fluffy Little Pooch So Fine
Good Doggy Nice Nice

On 4 May 2002 I adopted this puppy from the Penninsula Humane Society. Isn't she the bomb? She is an Aussie Shephard/Rottweiler mix; in the above picture she is 9 weeks old and about 11 pounds. So she is totally smart, very stubborn, and smallish compared to the big Rotties I'm used to, or largish for agility.

After a lot of agonizing over just the right name, I named her Trillian. It just seems to fit her.

When we first got her, Heather put up some indoor pictures and some outdoor shots. By the end of the month she had doubled in size, and started to blow out the fluffy puppy coat. She was still small for a Rott and I thought I'd got a new lap dog!

Boy was I wrong! she grew, and grew, and GREW. By Christmas, I no longer thought she was my lapdog.

However Trillian has other perceptions of the world. You can see from the picture she is no longer the fluffy little puppy that fits on one's lap. But didn't I mention she is stubborn? And, in this picture on the right, she is less than 10 months old...

If Trillian could speak English, we all know what she would say:

"whatever, lady"
