I dreamt that I had some sort of bug bite at the base of my left thumb. there was a red dot and it was turning black like a bruise underneath it. the dot was about half an inch outward of the carpal tunnel. there was another red dot on the outside of my wrist near that bump which is the end of the bone.

I showed Karine and she was sympathetic. I could hardly bend my thumb. we went somewhere and were talking to people and Karine said, o yah, look at Shari's wrist and I showed them my left hand. everything but the thumb was covered in red bumps - not like a rash, but like boils upon boils, it looked like alien skin and not human skin. the fingernails were purple turning black, even on my thumb which was otherwise normal down to the red dot at its base. I stared at my hand, horrified.

then I woke up. my right thumb is super swollen from my slamming it in the dog door yesterday. ow ow ow.
