fish bowl

I dreamed that Karine and I decided that the fish bowl that sits on the butcher block in the kitchen that the cats drink out of and has no fish in it, should be moved into the room Heather moved out of. we decided that it needs to go against the south wall, centered. it would sit on the table Heather left behind when she moved, which would have to be set up.

I realized we needed to set up the filter for this new location. the filter was different from the one it currently has and involved some tube that pumped the wather through an out-of-tank filter set up. I was quite concerned about whether it would splash the wall and stain the paint. I also realized that the current set up with the table against the east wall wouldn't work and had to be moved, but I thought this was less than ideal. we did it anyways.

once we moved it, I started looking for the little snail. I was worried that the snail was doing badly because of the cats drinking out of the bowl. the plant also turned a little brown from the extra light and I was a little worried abotu that too.

the dream then segued and the room was no longer in the back of our house but on the upper floor of some warehouse/loft type space. the main floor was sort of used for some worklike purpose (not for warehousing or for partying) and the room was an office for my boss who was not present. there were a lot of empty boxes around like we had just taken over the space. I guess there were three or four people in the room and we were trying to figure out what to do.

Trillian was there and she was running around like a maniacal puppy. we decided that the first things was to take the puppy out of the office. someone expressed concern about the puppy's ability to be housebroken and this guy reassured them. then it was no! oop! I found that she poo'd but it had been under the flap for a cardboard box. I tried to clean it up without staining the carpet and the guy walked Trillian down the stairs.

the stairs went straight down from the office to the lower floor that was maybe 20' below. they were perpendicular to the wall and had a single landing halfway down. there was writing in letters about 2" high on the edges of each step if you were to walk up them. they were in some industrial sans-serif font and were differing colours on a black background.
