goat milk mocha

I dreamed that the house and yard Karine and I have were really situated somewhere near the California border. Karine's brothers were stopping by on their way to Las Vegas. they were going to take a plane in and then public transport from the airport. one of the claimed that the best way was to take a bus that drops you off a block from Downtown. those busses run frequently and nobody takes them.

they left in the early morning - I guess Karine drove them to the airport - and I got up and rummaged around the kitchen. there was a pint glass with cactus cooler in it that I stuck a straw in and started sipping from. I decided I wanted a mocha and somehow got all the espresso and chocolate and stuff put in a travel mug. I set this on the butcherblock counter near the passthrough. rummaging around the fridge I saw there was only goat milk. I decided it would have to do. I set up this funky tube thing running fom the travel mug across the counter to the cactus cooler, which also added the steamed goat milk from over where the espresso making thingy was.

the result was a drink in the the pint glass that was triple-layered (you know how mochas separate into those nice layers of more-espresso, more-chocolate, more-steamed milk?) except one of the layers was predominantly cactus cooler. at this point Karine came home and was appalled. I put the pint glass with its layers in the back of the fridge.
