dream this morning...

well I really had two dreams

the first one was of my talking in fnet with Q and trying to explain
that it was *important* that the cat be cute if anyone wanted to
take it as a pet.

the second one was really weird. I can't remember everything but
some details...I was in a bowling tournament...it was taking place
on some planet that had just tried to ban men. This policy was
named "DUUD" but I can't remember what the acronym stood for.
Something not english. Not all cities had agreed to abide by this ban,
and they were getting boycotted. I was one of the people unhappy with
this ban on men, and I thought that the empress of the planet could be
convinced to reverse it, if only the right person got to talk to her.
one of the ways contact could be established was through someone who knew
the king (her husband. now I don't know why there's an empress and a king
in my dream). somewhere in the chain of people between myself and
the empress was heather...she knew some of the right people to talk to.

However, it was not yet time for all the men to leave, and there were
some in the bowling tournament. One of them looked like this guy I
used to know, Jon Luttrell. Hm. One of the details I remember was that
the way the lanes were assigned to the bowlers was non-numerical. the
culture on the planet didn't have numbers. The other detail I remember
was that ...something not unusual for me when I bowled ...I ripped the
skin on my right thumb to shreds. and I had to use liquid bandage (which
is a cross between nail polish and model airplane cement, or smells and
feels like it, anyway) to try to keep it from getting worse. I remember
very clearly the feel of applying the liquid to my thumb and feeling
it dry. o yah, and that the total number of games bowled was 12, not 9,
like in a normal amateur bowling tournament.
