for whatever reason, the dream had to flash back to the little girl's childhood. and all the adults were standing around watching, shaking their heads. the little girl was a trmendous klutz, but like the rest of her family showed an aptitude for horse training. since she was so little the parents had decided to demonstrate this to the neighbours by taking her out and having her run a dog through its paces.
the location was on a flat green space next to a creek. across the creek was a wooded area much like the flora in the yosemite area. the little girl was stumbling but sort of shone as she took the german shepherd mix through a series of gaits more properly demonstrated on a horse.
back to the present. we were working at a ranch. the person who had been the little girl was now someone who was really good friends with Heather. becuase of that I think we were in North Carolina. she was pretty thin, had long darkish hair, and had a nervous air about her like she had been through a lot in her life.
there was a building adjacent to the stables and this is where everyone got their lunch. we went to get lunch and they cringed when they saw her. it seems she was not just vegetarian, she had some funky diet considerations to avoid food allergies or some other health thing. I dunno. maybe she was an ex-heroin addict. it doesn't matter; the point is that these problems all started with that scene by the creek when she was a young child. so we went in to the place and you got your food from like a little window in the wall sort of like where you buy movie tickets but without the glass. almost everything they had was salmon, which I can't eat. after some working it out we got our food and went off to gossip.
after this there was a huge context switch in the dream; but it was the same dream. I was working on accounts on a windows box. I needed something setup in the start menu. I found it and it was called "ToolsPro". I had to do a bunch of moving files around to get the icon to show up where I wanted.
