Designed and implemented plans (and associated cases) for a range of order, inventory, and report management systems.  Worked with development to update, configure, and compile backend batch machines under an aggressive release schedule.  Developed PL/SQL scripts to generate order and inventory data against a number of Oracle database instances.   Automated Perl and Java processing for email, alarm, and report functionality.  Validated XML and EDI file transmission and reception for third-party vendors.  Worked with outside clients and distributors to certify test approaches and solidify technical requirements. Responsible for quality engineering of Java-based e-commerce software in complex currency management systems. Took lead role in all change, design, usability, and spec reviews.  Helped scope client requirements and finalize design issues.  Created extensive test plans detailing environments, variables, controls, exit criteria, objectives, dependencies, and overall test strategy.  Requested initial deployments and builds.  Created and implement automated regression scripts in Tcl and WinRunner.  Executed all cases--functional, positive, negative, load, stress, whitebox, etc.--outlined in test plan.  Documented all issues discovered during the test cycle.  Worked with development and configuration groups to verify and close outstanding defects.  Made final risk assessments, weighed trade-offs, and prepared ReadMe documentation prior to release.  Troubleshot production problems (back-end and front-end) for extensive list of custom loyalty clients: CMGI, AltaVista, ValueStar, American Express, Nortel, 3Com, and Microsoft.

Created and ran automated regression tests (i.e., plans, suites, scripts, and cases) for Internet banking applications using Silk 4Test scripts ("C like" code).  Testing included whitebox, blackbox, data, load, edge, environment, security (https), and server failure.  Investigated UNIX and PC client logs to capture fatal conditions and replicate errors.  Detailed all defects and server failures per build.  Compiled data to replicate entrance (base) state in relational mainframe environments.  Client-side tests included all major Internet browsers and operating environments.
