procedures to certify authentication and web access applications and agents in
Windows, Solaris, and Linux operating environments. Script automated test suites to gauge build
parity, regress functionality, and measure entrance and exit criteria. Create and execute automated regression
scripts using WinRunner, TestComplete,
and QFtest.
Determine application security, load, and stress metrics for patches and
major releases. Ensure products meet
strict security and audit compliance: Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (HIPAA), Federal Financial Institutions Examinations Council (FFIEC),
etc. Determine quarterly hardware and
software needs for the test team; submit purchase specifications for software
and hardware required; setup and configure all hardware and software to meet
rigorous project schedules. Work with 3rd

levels of support.
Gap Online, San Francisco
Lead Quality Assurance Engineer
(contract) 06/04 – 07/05
Worked to re-design the technical
promotions and customer personalization infrastructure for Banana
Republic, Old Navy, and Gap. Led planning discussions around test scope, architecture, and
integration. Organized
all verification and validation efforts associated with pricing orders,
messaging discounts, and creating promotions. Designed and executed cases to support whitebox and functional automation efforts. Helped implement test frameworks to drive
data-driven regression and report execution metrics. Detailed the severity and
priority of defects and issues in communications with business and development
partners. Effectively
managed critical tasks to successful completion in a timely fashion. Provided technical assistance around
technology adopted for the project: Websphere,
Dimensions, Oracle, Java, and Linux.
SBC (AT&T) Online, San Ramon
Software Quality Assurance Engineer
(contract) 12/03 – 05/04
Meticulously planned, designed, and
implemented test strategies to ensure proper circuit, customer, and performance
data loads. Scripted Perl solutions in
order to parse and aggregate complex circuit and switch object id strings. Calculated backend
statistical performance metrics for cron jobs, Oracle
queues, and Java processes.
Created test harness to script data-driven regression and
acceptance. Introduced
testability improvements in the form of Spec-Based/ Design-Driven cases. Studiously recorded and documented
traceability matrices, risks, outlined cases, methodologies, strategies, results,
implementation, and quality procedures. Mentored testers in SQL, UNIX, Perl, and Java.
Adspace Networks, Burlingame
Lead Quality Assurance Engineer
(contract) 02/03 - 11/03
Formulated and implemented tests to
verify and validate the proper functioning of CoolSign
proprietary network solutions (http://coolsign.com) under the .Net
framework. Queried
network databases for object, request, and transfer integrity. Validated XML imports, exports, send rates,
and data integrity. Ensured
proper network bandwidth constraints, key security, remote shell operability,
and log verbosity. Measured load,
stress, and scalability of software components for a stable network of nodes
and associated displays. Determined
appropriate candidates for automation and completed test suites as
required. Created quality procedures to
network hardware and configure software as needed--image discs, locate drivers,
register DLLs, calibrate plasmas, and configure builds for testing pools.
Walmart.com, Brisbane
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (employee) 07/01 - 11/02
Designed and implemented plans (and
associated cases) for a range of order, inventory, and report management
systems. Worked with development to

release schedule. Developed PL/SQL
scripts to generate order and inventory data against a number of Oracle
database instances. Automated
Perl and Java processing for email, alarm, and report functionality. Validated XML and EDI file transmission and
reception for third-party vendors.
Worked with outside clients and distributors to certify test approaches
and solidify technical requirements. Ensured file transfer gateway security
with proper permissions, passwords, encryption, and directory access. Regularly monitored and worked to optimize
production code for front-facing consumer site, http://walmart.com, customer
service applications, catalog distributor applications, and store kiosks (POS).
Led functional releases outside main catalog arena, such as
pharmacy, DVD rentals, optical, gift registry, and financial services. Managed projects to
completion by creating timelines, scheduling reviews, and tracking defects. Trained and mentored junior QA engineers in
SQL, UNIX, Perl, and Java.
