The Renaissance Faires are an attmept to create, in modern times and context, life and society during Renaissance Europe. But, how do we know how accurately these times are portrayed?
Fortunately, we are left with a legacy of woodcuts and engravings from artists, good and bad, who sought to portray the world around them at the time.
This page will serve as your door into a gallery of those portrayals selected by the Wonderland Society as depicting those aspects of Renaissance life and society that the Faires are unable to accurately communicate in a modern context.
