has, as a common thread,
an interest in
historical recreation.
The Renaissance Faire
provides one of the
ultimate playgrounds
to satisfy this interest.

A Renaissance Faire is an attempt to recreate a festival that would have been held in a small English village near London in the late 1500s.
In California, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire has been running for more than 35 years, and has been put on by the same people the whole time, although the official name & profit status of the owning corporation fluctuates from time to time. Since it began, many other Ren Faires of various sizes, styles, & flavours have been started by other groups around the US, with varying degrees of success.
This is about all that the Wonderland Society wishes to present on generic Ren Faire information. There are many websites providing comprehensive information on Renaissance festivals, and we provide pointers to many of them on our Ren Faire links page.
Both the admins of wonderland.com work at the Ren Faire, in the Guild of St Cuthbert's, which is the group that is in charge of parades and pageants.
They say that a picture is worth more than 1,000 words. With this in mind, we have prepared a photo gallery of ourselves and friends at various Renaissance festivals, in order that you can get a better look at what is seen and done at such events. The pictures are fairly large JPEGs, so instead of forcing you to load them all at once, we have instead compiled a captioned list of them for you to peruse and, from there, pick and choose what you wish to view.
