we take note of the following...

Hundreds of faces, smiling from the front windows of Pier 45, reflect the community of effort, time and great talent devoted to creating The Great Christmas Fair of Charles Dickens' London.

Our London was not built in a day! It took 44 days, during which hundreds of hands:

• Carried costumes, sets, signs and decorations into trucks bound for the pier;
• Created fine sewn and beaded ball gowns;
• Tailored handsome frock coats and engineered cleverly uplifting corsets;
• Hung hundreds of yards of green garlands, as carpenters hammered donated lumber into stages, balconies, and theatrical environments to complete our set for a Christmas in Victorian London.

All of you who have loved this event, in its twenty incarnations since 1970, should also know that its rejuvenated return has been possible only through the astounding efforts of this community of Christmas Keepers.

Our many merry sponsors donated materials, media time and money to make this holiday tradition come to life once more.

Our gratitude knows no bounds.
