Wonderland is a concept that we are trying to bring alive within our network, which, like this website, is constantly under construction.

Wonderland has two administrators, Shari Brooks and Heather Meadows. We handle both the server and desktop administration for the LAN, supporting 50-odd shell account users, and the maintenance of this website and several other. We are proud to have been one of the first entirely women-run websites online.

The Wonderland network is currently located in beautiful sunny Pacifica, only a few miles south of San Francisco, California. There is one exception: jabberwock -- our public server, is a FreeBSD machine running the website and the shell accounts, and is co-located at our friend Rocky's place in SF on Sharon. This is because we remain connected to the Internet via dialup PPP on a Hayes 56Kflex modem; the phone lines in Pacifica are not known to be stable for digital connections and the phone company couldn't be less interested in upgrading them.
